Why you want to roleplay this character: Of all the characters I've encountered in the CLAMP-verse, I'd say that Kobato's the girl that caught my attention. There's just so much mystery around her and her naive and sweet personality made me love her more. Aside from that, she's pretty tricky to roleplay (I'm currently roleplaying her in a CLAMP-only rpg site) and RPing her kind of squeezes the creative juices out of me. I think writing with her helps me improve my writing.
Traits, Personality, and Appearance: Kobato is a very kind and cheerful girl. She has an enthusiastic view of life and does everything with a smile on her face. She wants to heal everyone from their suffering, and despite her naivete, she is still determined. Kobato is also friendly and is easy to get along with. She tries to protect the people she cares about from being hurt even if she herself is scared.
She is also a bit clumsy and trips most of the time much to the annoyance of Ioryogi (who calls her Dobato every time she does something stupid). She is innocent and doesn't understand how the world works, thinking that everything around her is good. This attitude usually earns her 'scolding' from Ioryogi and at times, Fujimoto. However, she still tries her best to understand what something means, be it by watching T.V. or reading magazines.
She has an extremely long brown hair and normally wears elaborate dresses and a hat. One thing that must be noted is that she must never remove her hat for reasons yet unknown. Kobato also has a wonderful singing voice.
History of Character: Kobato wants go to a certain place and in order to do so, she must fill a mysterious bottle with the wounds from the hearts of suffering people. But before that, she must get the said bottle from Ioryogi, her speaking plush toy was the one who is in charge of evaluating her if she can live like a normal person. He also acts as her guardian as she completes her mission. When she recieved her bottle after getting enough points from Ioryogi, she settled (carrying only her suitcase and bottle) in an apartment managed by a woman named Chitose.
At first, Kobato just asks random people if they want to be healed by her. However, no one wants to and thinks that she is crazy. She learns that she has no idea how to heal a person's heart and the task is not as easy as what she assumed. Eventually, she landed a job in Yomogi nursery - a school being threatened by the yakuza to close down because of a debt. There she met two people that she wanted to 'heal': Sayaka, a kind woman who is the current principal of the nursery, and Fujimoto, a blunt young man working in the nursery who she doesn't get along with and also happens to be her apartment neighbor. Kobato continues to try to heal Sayaka's heart with her best efforts while healing other people's hearts as well.

Sample RP post (this is set during the time when she was waiting for Ioryogi) Journal-san, I said stupid things today. Ioryogi-san would go 'rawr' at me again for saying that when he comes back! Speaking of Ioryogi-san, he's still missing! I tried looking all over for him but I didn't find him. And then I saw Okiura-san... and Fujimoto-san. They started arguing about Sayaka-san and the nursery. I've never seen Fujimoto-san that angry before! I was worried that someone might get hurt! B-but... because it's Fujimoto-san...? Why did I say that?
It's really painful when someone gets hurt. It's horrible and really awful. I don't want that to happen to anyone. But back then... back then, I felt that I didn't want Fujimoto-san to get hurt. Okiura-san will get hurt, too, but Fujimoto-san being in pain was much worse. I couldn't stand it. I don't understand why, though. Is it because we work together at Sayaka-san's school? Or is it because he lives next door? I'm confused. Ioryogi-san, please come back fast...
Sample RP post [3rd person, also at least 10 lines] Kobato's walking around the city with tears slowly forming in her eyes. Hours have passed since she discovered that Ioryogi was missing in his usual perch in her bag. She tried looking everywhere for him but all efforts are vain.
"Ioryogi-san, where are you? I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean to mess up! Please come back!"
This has happened before: Ioryogi-san falling from her bag and her, forgetting about him. But he would always come back to her. Usually, with a decent amount of scolding and a hell fire thrown at her. She felt that this was all her fault. Ioryogi would always scold her for leaving him outside because he couldn't move without her help. She would always say sorry. But now, she doesn't know if she could say that again. Because of her recklessness, Ioryogi-san is gone.
"I'm sorry, Ioryogi-san, I'm really sorry." she mumbled, as tears finally slid down from her cheeks.
